There is a scarcity of information about gay life in Sri Lanka in general, also on the net. Therefore we decided that a website like that is necessary.
It may be not the first website where gay issues in Sri Lanka are being presented, discussed and promoted, but it is the first complex one.

We have created this website to provide information on Sri Lankan gay scene and offer free forum for people to meet, exchange information and interact.

Because of old anti sodomy law, dating back to the period of Great Britain colonization of the island (before 1948)  which makes homosexual acts (exactly anal penetration) a crime, Sri Lankan gay life is still officially undercover.
But in reality this law has not been in use for decades and in Sri Lanka as in almost any other country in the world one can find a plethora of gay activities.  There are gay and lesbian organizations (Equal Ground), gay parties, gay cruising areas; there is lot of attractive and charming Sri Lankans willing to meet other gay men, especially from abroad.

Therefore we would also like to gather the information on what’s going on here and there and offer it to everybody on our website.
